William “Bill” O’Rourke
79, of Havana, Florida, passed away on Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at his home surrounded by his family.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday, March 2, 2021 at St Louis Catholic Church 3640 Fred George RD Tallahassee. The interment will be held at a later date at Rocky Gap State Veterans Cemetery in Flintstone, MD. Mr. O’Rourke was born May 19, 1941 in Cumberland MD the son of the late George O’Rourke and the late Elizabeth (O’Neal) O’Rourke. He moved to Havana, FL in 2004 and lead a very active retirement. He was a devout member of St Louis Catholic Church in Tallahassee. He was a classic car enthusiast owning several classic cars and serving as a judge for many car shows. He was a member of TRAACA car club. He also had a passion building toy trains. He and his wife loved traveling all over the country in their motor home for over 20 years.
He is survived by his wife Peggy Sue O’Rourke of Havana, FL his sister Betty Wilson; A very dear and special niece Kaylene O’Rourke Gray; two nephews: Patrick and Shawn O’Rourke; Three grandchildren: Jeff, Jason, Jeremy Barnes; seven great grandchildren and his special furry friend Pookie.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother Charles O’Rourke.
