William Lee Brown, 61 of Havana died January 2, 2007 at Big Bend Hospice House. Graveside funeral service will be at 2:00pm, Saturday at Woodland Cemetery in Havana. Family will receive friends Friday from 5 til 7pm at Faith Funeral Home Chapel in Havana (850-539-4300 or www.faithfuneralhome.com)
Bill was born October 16, 1946 in Marshall, Texas. He served in the US Navy and Army. In 1973 he earned a degree in Criminology from FSU, In 1990 he earned a degree in Religious Education from Florida Baptist Theological College. In 1992 he earned a Nursing (B.S.N.) Degree from FSU. He was and avid outdoorsman, he loved to fish and hunt. He would tell you his greatest accomplishment or achievement in life was his children.
He is survived by his wife Ann Hinson Brown of Havana; Two sons Jeffery W. Brown of Fairfax, VA.; and Nicholas H, Brown (and wife Amber) of Tallahassee. A daughter Stephanie Ann Church (and husband Brian) of Tallahassee. His mother Audry Mae Elofson (and husband retired Lt.Col. E. L. Elofson) of Altha, FL.; a brother Terry Brown (and wife Ann) of Atlanta, GA.; a sister Fran Buford (and husband Julius) of Tallahassee. Three grandchildren Lucas W. Brown, Bradley M. Church, and Logan W. Brown. His mother-in-law Pauline Hinson of Havana.
He was preceded in death by his father James D. Brown II; and his brother James D. Brown, III; His father-in-law Bart Hinson.
