Telly Randal Sass was born 54 years ago. He died peacefully at home on August 3, 2022.
His parents moved Telly and his brother to Tallahassee in 1971. He graduated from Florida High. Telly worked in his Dad's business, The Magic and Fun Costume Shop on W. Tennessee Street from 1979 (age 11) until November, 2018, when the shop closed after 39 years.Telly loved performing magic and giving magic demonstrations in the shop. He performed at numerous parties and events in the area.If you ever met him, he would almost always show you a trick and add a joke or two. He was a member of the Tallahassee Magic Club in the early 1990s. To keep his skills current, he attended many International Brotherhood of Magicians conventions. One of his closest friends is Paul Weatherby, a noted magician in central Florida.
Telly's interests included John Wayne and western movies, western magazines, comedy, fishing with his buddy Jerry, and listening to Elvis and collecting KISS memorabilia. He would wear his Elvis blue jumpsuit and entertain customers, family and friends. He loved to laugh and give his laughter to all he met.Telly was a strong, considerate, compassionate person to his family and friends. He truly had a heart of gold. "Your happy smile and quirky jokes, that will get us by the most. It was a pleasure knowing you calling you our friend. Wish we could have said goodbye, but we will see you by and by. Fly with Angels, my friend. It is not the end." Stacey and Melissa. Telly is survived by his parents, Janis and Phil Sass, his brother, Toney, uncles Richard Gorman, James Sass and his Aunt Jamie Thomas.We will always love and cherish you. Until we meet again, may God hold you in the palms of his hands
