It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Selena Allison Keller, who peacefully departed this life in her home in Havana, Florida, on December 8th, 2024. Born in Miami, Florida on October 11, 1958. Selena was a beloved daughter, sister and friend.
Selena is survived by her loving family: her mother Barbara J. Dietz (Bill) and her father James “Richard” Keller (Patricia). Her siblings Mark J. Keller (Heidi), Melody L. Sullivan, Deitra A. Keyes, James R. Keller, Robert A. Spencer (Joanne) and Pamela E. Saweikis (Leo). Also, many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins that Selena loved dearly. Her family meant the world to her. She was preceded in death by her brother Donny C. Spencer and her step father Don Spencer.
Selena’s passions included sports, with a particular devotion to the Florida Gators. She found joy in cooking and cherished the time spent cooking with friends and family. She also loved playing cards and was known for her competitive spirit around the card table. She always had a deck of cards in her bag. Selena demonstrated from the very beginning of life, respect and loyalty to people and embraced responsibility. Selena had a huge heart and was always ready to help in any way she was able.
Selena began her professional life at Eckerd’s photo lab, where she developed a keen eye for detail and a love for photography. Later she embarked on a fulfilling career with Publix supermarkets, where she worked for 20 years before retiring. Her dedication and service left a lasting impression on her colleagues.
Though Selena has left this world, her spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those she touched. Her memory will be cherished forever, and she will be deeply missed. We take comfort in knowing that she is at peace and will always be with us in our hearts, guiding and inspiring us with the love and warmth she shared throughout her life.
A memorial service will be held to celebrate Selena’s life on December 21, 2024 at 2 pm at Faith Funeral Home and Crematory, located at 6972 Florida Georgia Highway, Havana, FL32333. Faith Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements (850.539.4300 | www.faithfuneralhome.com).
