Biography

Sandra Jean Strickland, 39 of Havana died Monday, November 3, 2008 at The Margaret Z. Dozier Hospice House in Tallahassee. Her funeral service will be 11:00am, Saturday November 8, 2008 at Meridian Woods Church of Christ in Tallahassee. The internment will follow the service at Woodland Cemetery in Havana. Sandi was born January 2, 1969 in Tallahassee, FL. She graduated from North Florida Christian School on May 29, 1987. In 1988 she began her career with the State of Florida, In 1997 she began working with The Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) until her early retirement due to illness in May of 2008.
Sandi is survived by her husband of 18 years Justin E. Strickland of Havana, her son Travis Dawson Strickland of Havana. Her parents Jack and Dorothy Turner of Tallahassee. Two sisters Debbie Turner of Mobile, AL. and Jackie Marston (and husband David) of Tallahassee. Her father and mother-in-law Jack and Jeanette Strickland of Milton, FL. and her brother and sister-in-law Jared and Tonya Strickland of Milton, FL. She is also survived by her many aunts, uncles, nieces, cousins and co-workers who loved her and ministered to her during her long illness.
