Roseleen Rae Craig Deaton, 74 of Quincy, FL, passed away Thursday, December 13, 2012 at her residence after a long illness.
The memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday December 16, 2012 at Havana First Baptist Church with Dr. Eric Erskine officiating. Private family interment will be held at Woodland Cemetery in Havana, FL.
A nurse for 28 years, and later a science teacher at Tallavana Christian School and Grace Christian Academy, her life was devoted to helping others. Born to Irving Anderson and Avanelle Hicks in Washington D.C. on December 18, 1937, Roseleen came from a family of military and medical service. She held a Masters degree in healthcare and a B.S. in education.A mother of five,
She is survived by Daughter Bonnie Chilson, Daughter Jeannette Craig, and Son Winifred Craig. She is preceded in death by Son Milo Craig III, and Charles Craig. She is survived by grandchildren Eric Graves, April Deeter, Katherine Jones, Daniel Craig, Jessica Craig, Kelly Garner, Kyle Craig, and Kimberly Smith. She is survived by Great-grandchildren Raven Graves, Zander Graves, Fable Graves, Kaylin Craig, Vanessa Craig, Madison Smith, Wyatt Garner, and Tinsley Craig.
