Roderick "Rod" Willie Pigott ,78, of Havana, Florida went home to be with our precious Lord and Savior on Friday, March 1, 2024.
Rod was born on October 1, 1945 in Medart, Florida to Clois Pigott and Martha Crum Pigott.
Rod loved the Lord, his family, his church and the Seminoles. He loved his Lord and reading the Bible, and was a devoted prayer warrior! Rod was loved and respected, as he was always the same.
Rod married his beloved wife Linda on June 21, 1969. They have been called Peanut butter and Jelly....She was his "Sporty" and he was her "Baby Doll". They have two daughters Wendy and Kerri.
He was a faithful member of Seminole Baptist Church. Rod served in the US Army and Reserves. He retired from Kmart and Embarq (aka Centel, Sprint, CenturyLink). He was a football official with FHSAA for 30 years, and officiated scrimmages, served on the chain crew and operated the game clock for FSU football for 30+ years. He was an avid FSU football and baseball fan.
He is survived by wife Linda; daughters Wendy and Kerri; sisters Eva Reeves, Kay Harvey (Junior); brother-in-laws Willard Dixon, Larry Dixon and David Raynor; sister-in-law Tommie Sue Raynor (Cliff); and grandpuppy Gidget, as well as many nieces and nephews and cousins (and several "adopted" daughters). He was preceded in death by his parents Clois and Martha Pigott; in-laws Jake and Lucy Raynor; sister Elsie Fitzpatrick; brother-in-laws Wilson Reeves and Frank Fitzpatrick; sister-in-law Mel Dixon; and nephew Richard Harvey.
