Richard Francis Harper

November 6, 1955 — September 24, 2024

Havana

Richard Harper is a extraordinary man who lived life at its fullest. He met no stranger and could put a smile on anyone’s face. Some people would say he was the life of the party and rest assure, you would not miss him. He always made it a point to talk to and acknowledge everyone in the room.

Richard was a hard-working man who took pride in his home, his family, and his job, but he had a passion and joy for classic cars. If he wasn’t rebuilding one, then he was at a classic car show. He would get a big joy out of that engine sound.

In Richard‘s adventure of life, he met his beautiful wife, Cynthia and in 45 years of marriage, together they created a beautiful family. Richard took pride in his family and used every opportunity to teach his knowledge of mechanics, ingenuity, construction, and all the important things in life. Richard was surrounded by love and joy with his family. Family gatherings, and family trips gave him all the joy that the world could hold which he considered what made him the richest man in the world.

Richard is survived by his loving wife Cynthia; sons Jason Harper, Cordell Harper, Ricky Harper; daughter April Rooks (husband David); grandchildren Kara, Rylleigh, Steven, Cheyenne, Evelyn, Chevy, Abigail, Christina; great grandson Atlas; Sisters Sissy, Barbara, and Joan; and a number of nieces and nephews.
