Phyllis Hattie McKinnie 76 of Havana died Thursday, Feb. 28, 2008 in Tallahassee. The funeral service will be at 2:00 pm Sunday, March 2, 2008 at Concorida Baptist Church, with the burial at Concord Cemetery. Mrs. McKinnie was born in Lake Wales, July 9, 1931. She has lived in Havana for more than 30 years. She was of the Baptist faith. She owned and operated several restaurants in Havana for many years.
She is survived by her husband of 21 years Bobby Mckinnie of Havana. Five sons; Carey Stewart of Tallahassee; Daniel Stewart of Lakeland; David Stewart (and wife Sylvia) of Havana; Kenny McKinnie (and wife Teresa) of Havana; and Robert Lunn (and wife Dana) of Calvary, GA. Five daughters; Lawana Tatum (and husband Stan) of Tallahassee; Tina Hatcher (and husband Mike) of Tallahassee; Linda Thomas (and husband Mike) of Calvary, GA; Brenda Williams (and husband Jeff) of Havana; and Ona Gail Bess (and husband Joey) of Havana; Two sisters; Jean Martin (and husband Tracy) of Brandon; and Mildred Poole (and husband Stanley) of Mulberry. 23 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her grandson Josh Thomas.
