Phillip Allen Williams, 71, formerly of Havana, FL, died on August 31, 2020, in Perry, FL, where he was a resident of Marshall Health Center.
He was predeceased by his parents, Elizabeth Sandusky Williams and W.L. Williams, Jr. and is survived by his brother, Bill Williams, of New York, NY, as well as aunts and uncles: Faye and Dick Williams, Frances Williams, and Carl and Kathy Sandusky; and numerous cousins.
Phillip was born in Quincy, FL, and lived and attended school grades 1 – 12 in Havana, FL. He graduated from Samford University in Birmingham, AL and served in the U.S. Army in Mannheim, Germany. He lived for many years in Los Angeles, CA, where he was a successful real estate escrow specialist. He later continued that career in Atlanta, GA, before moving back home to Havana to be with his widowed mother.
Early in life, he developed a love for trailers and mobile homes; many years later, he finally satisfied that
passion by living in an RV, both in Tallahassee and, for a short while, back in California. He adored his
pets, especially his last two: Fitzgerald, the cat, and Gracie, the dog, both of which were rescues. He will
be remembered among friends and family for his dry sense of humor.
The graveside funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, September 8. 2020 at Woodland Cemetery in Havana, FL
