Myrtle Pauline Dawkins, 98, Havana, FL, passed away Friday, February 5, 2016 at her son’s home in Havana.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, February 8, 2016 at Faith Funeral Home Chapel, interment will follow at Woodland Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service beginning at 1:00pm
Mrs. Dawkins was born September 3, 1917 in Climax, GA, the daughter of the late Ed Yawn and the late Quillar-Mae Jobe Yawn. She was a life-long resident of Havana. She was a member of Santa Clara Baptist Church in Quincy. She married William A Dawkins in the late 1940's. she also attended Jacksonville Beauty School in the late 1940's. She was a beautician for more than 30 years. Mrs Dawkins was well known for cleaning her yard, and she loved all flowers.
Survivors include her two sons Pat Dawkins (wife Jeanie) and Ronnie Dawkins (wife Cindy) all of Havana; brother Wilson Yawn (wife Patsy) of Tallahassee; sister Anita Johnson (husband Carry) of Havana.
four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband William A. Dawkins; brother Wilard Yawn; sisters Louise Yawn; and Ruby Todaro.
