Michael David Barousse 77, of Havana, FL. passed away, Sunday, April 30, 2017 at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital.
The memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at Faith Funeral Home Chapel. His family will receive friends after the service.( www.faithfuneralhome.com or 850-539-4300)
Mr Barousse was born on October 13, 1939 in Crowley, LA to the late David Barousse and the late Alma Doiron Barousse. He was a U.S. Navy veteran serving on the USS Saratoga. He retired from Graybar Electrical Supply in Tallahassee after nearly 30 years, and then worked consulting for the Florida Department of Corrections. He was an Eagle Scout, and enjoyed working with young men in the Scouts.
He was a devoted family-man and husband. He also enjoyed woodworking and cooking. Although kind-hearted, he was known to have strong opinions; some people might even say he was little "cantankerous".
He is survived by his wife Linda H. Barousse of Havana; Three sons Pat Barousse (wife Jessie) of Tallahassee, Clete King (wife Heather ) of Tallahassee, and Matt Barousse of Havana; Two daughters Tonya Deweese (husband Roger) of Palisade, CO. and Michelle Weaver (husband Mike) of Woodville FL. Two brothers Tommy Barousse (wife Bonnie) of Lafayette, LA and Keith Barousse of Tallahassee. Three sisters JoAnne Capel of Eunice, LA, Sharon Johnson (husband Ron) and Kathy Manuel (husband Tony) both of Lake Charles LA. Five grandchildren, including Laura DeWeese, Paige King, Duncan Weaver, Danielle King and Jackzon Messmer, in addition to many, many nieces and nephews.
