Mary Ethel Wright

Mary Ethel Willis Wright, 62, of Tallahassee, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 13, 2016. She is survived by her two daughters, Ashley Lord (Jake) and Leanne Wright (Clint), both of Tallahassee; along with 3 grandchildren, Abigail, Teddy, and Liam; and 5 siblings, Pat Surles of Tallahassee, George Willis (Emma) of Monticello, Rodney Willis (Jean) of Monticello, Lynda Wilson of Havana, and Curtis Willis (Regina) of Monticello, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Mary fought for ten years with Semantic Dementia. She was a dedicated mother who loved her family with all of her heart. Mary was born in Monticello, FL to Earl and Mary Willis, and retired from BB&T Landrum Yeager with over 20 years of service. Her family and friends have many fond memories of vacations at the coast, where she enjoyed playing in the sun.
A memorial service will be held at Immanuel Baptist Church, where she was a member, on Friday, September 16, 2016 at 5:00 PM. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at IBC.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Big Bend Hospice or the Alzheimer’s Project of Tallahassee.
