Biography

Margaret Marie Walsh Poggie, 87, of Tallahassee passed away Sunday, February 6, 2011 in Tallahassee. Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm, on Tuesday, February 8, 2011 at Faith Funeral Home Chapel in Havana (850.539.4300 or www.faithfuneralhome.com ) Internment will follow at Vickers Cemetery in Havana. Her family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Mrs. Poggie was born April 30, 1923 in Concord, FL. The daughter of Miles Walsh and Eva Chester Walsh. She graduated from Concord School. She then moved to Tallahassee and began her career with the Florida Department of Commerce in Tallahassee. She worked her way up to management and later retired. She was a lifetime member of Concorida Baptist Church in Concord. Mrs Margaret had a great love of her family, especially her two grandchildren. They were the center of her world.

She is survived by her two children Wendell Poggie of Tallahassee, FL. and her daughter Lorraine Dujanovic (and husband Tom) of Alpharetta, GA. Two grandchildren Brian Poggie and Allison Poggie both of Tallahassee.

She is preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, Loren Walsh, Allen Walsh Frank Walsh, Elsie Vicker and Hazel Newton.
