On Sunday, May 19, 2024, Marcus Dean Register, 63, of Havana, Florida passed away at his home.
Marc was born in Lakeland, Florida on August 7, 1960, to parents, Billy and Judy Register. When he was a young boy, the family moved to North Florida and purchased the farmland that would become his home for the rest of his life. Marc was passionate about the family farm and worked very hard to steward it well. He took pride in teaching and ensuring his children knew the ins and outs of farm life and living independently - lessons we hold very dear to our hearts and are incredibly grateful for. He loved to hunt and fish, and could almost always be found playing a joke on someone. He loved to make people laugh.
He also loved to travel - evidenced by multiple trips to Montana, each on a different path, and annual trips to the family cabin in the Smoky Mountains. These trips hold some of our fondest moments with him.
Marc graduated high school from Robert F. Monroe, and went on to earn his Associate’s degree at Emmanuel University in Franklin Springs, Georgia. After college, he began a successful career for the United States Postal Service, from where he would eventually retire.
Marc is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Matthew. He is survived by his wife Julie; children: Jeremiah (Casie), Jessica (Billy), Beth, Alisha (Jason) and stepdaughters, Ashley (Justin), and Alyssa; grandchildren: Ethan, Aubree, Bryson, Morgan, and Pyper; his sister, Martha, and niece, Brandi, Matti and Gracie.
A private graveside service will be held at the family cemetery, Magnolia Hill.
In lieu of flowers, The family ask you to consider contributing to help with burial expenses. A GoFundMe has been set up in Marc's name.
Thank you.
