Madelyn Carolyn Maxwell Thomas 77, of Climax, GA, passed away Friday, April 10, 2015 at Memorial Hospital in Bainbridge.
A graveside funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday April 12, 2015 at Pine Forest Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Bruce McCracken officiating. Faith Funeral Home in Havana is in charge of arrangements (850-539-4300 or www.faithfuneralhome.com)
Carolyn was born November 24, 1937 in Reno, GA. The daughter of the late Zeron Monroe Maxwell and the late Lena Jane Hammett Maxwell. She was a member of Pine Forest Baptist Church, she worked as a flower designer for many years. She was well known for her cake baking.
She is survived by her daughter Tracie D. Phillips (husband Ronnie) of Climax, GA and a granddaughter Megan Deanna Phillips also of Climax, GA Two brothers Harold Maxwell of Vada, GA and Wayne Maxwell (wife Sarah) of Attapulgus, GA one sister Ann M. Quigg (husband Earl) of Thomasville, GA.
She is preceded in death by her husband Frank Chester Thomas, Jr. Her brothers Clyde, Eugene, Zerom, and Julian Maxwell, and a sister Helen Cumbie.
