Lois Jean Lieb, 81, of Tallahassee, FL. passed away Monday, November 24, 2014 at St. Augustine Plantation in Tallahassee.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 28, 2014 at Thomasville Road Baptist Church with Pastor Curtis Clark officiating, interment will follow at Roselawn Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at 1:00 p.m. (one hour prior to the service, Friday, November 28, 2014 at the church. Faith Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements (850-539-4300 or www.faithfuneralhome.com)
Mrs. Lieb was born January 2, 1933 in Tallahassee, FL the daughter of the late Charles Ranew, Sr. and the late Jessie Blalock Ranew. She attended Leon High School where she was Valentine Queen and the leading scorer on the basketball team. She retired from Florida Dept. of State in July of 1996. She was a member of Thomasville Road Baptist Church. Most of all she loved her girls and grandchildren. (and her son-in-laws too)
Survivors include her two daughters, Rhonda Kelly (husband Tony) and Brenda Merritt (husband Tim) all of Tallahassee. Five grandchildren: Tonya Windham
( husband Chris), Tara Kelly, Trina Baker (husband Wayne), Haley Merritt, and Heather Merritt. Six great-grandchildren. Her brother Hughie Ranew and Artie Ranew; and sister June Duensing.
She is preceded in death by her husband Ron Lieb in 1992, and her brothers Ed Ranew and Richard Ranew in 2014.
