Kenneth Allen Demaree, 74 of Havana was call home by the his Lord Thursday, December 13, 2007 in Gainesville. A memorial service will be held at 11:00am Monday December 17 at First Baptist Church in Havana. The family will receive friends after the service. Mr. Demaree was born on July 8, 1933 in LaGrange, KY. He was a professional engineer for the State of Kentucky and a member of the Order of Kentucky Colonels. He served his country in the Navy during the Korean Conflict on the USS Lake Champlain. He and his wife of 21 years, Rachel retired in Havana in 1996 and are members of the Havana Firsts Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife Rachel Demaree of Havana; two daughters Tina Arpaia McCann of Gainesville, FL. and Toni Arpaia May of West Palm Beach, FL; a sister Vivian Hillard of Havana: her daughter Cassie Stephens (and husband Buzzy) and their sons Brook and Britt Stephens; His brother Lester Demaree of LaGrange KY. and his sons Kenneth and Lester, Junior and his daughter Penny.
