I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord." Matthew 25:23
The Honorable Reverend Johnnie Lee Garrett, Jr., 83, was born on April 18, 1938 to the late Johnnie Lee Garrett, Sr. and the late Marion Josephine Benjamin Garrett of Havana, Florida. He was the eldest of 9 children , 7 boys and 2 girls. To his brothers and sisters he was known as "BRO", to his nieces and nephews he was "UNCLE JOHNNIE" and to the community he was known as "REV".
He grew up in a home where God and church was a part of his life. His family attended Antioch Baptist Church for awhile. Then, at the age of 15, he accepted Christ at First Independent All Nation Holiness Church where he recognized his call to preach the Gospel. As God qualified the call he became the Pastor/Evangelist of Deliverance Revival Pentecostal Church, of Havana, Florida. After 25 plus years of pastoring he retired and passed the mantle to his eldest son, Micahel Garrett.

In the community, he was "Rev" , anyone that knew of him and needed help, found "Rev". He was always willing to find a way to help anyone in need. He would sacrifice to give the shirt off his back and the shoes off his feet. He was all about fulfilling the pericope of scripture as it is written in Hebrews 13:16, "...Do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased."
