John Wesley Hawkins, 73 of Tallahassee died Monday October 15, 2007 in Tallahassee.
Funeral service will be at 12:00 noon (EDT) Friday, October 19, 2007 at Faith Funeral Home Chapel, with the interment at Oakland Cemetery in Tallahassee. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Memorial contribution may be made to Big Bend Hospice 1723 Mahan Center Blvd. Tallahassee, FL. 32308. Mr. Hawkins worked for the City of Tallahassee for 45 years, retiring in 1998 He was an avid FSU football fan. He was of the Baptist faith. He loved his family dearly.
He is survived by his four daughters: Sheryl Toliver, Cathy Rudd,(and husband Corky) Beth Marsh,( and husband Howard) and Elaine Dean ( and husband Robin) all of Tallahassee. Sixteen grandchildren, and sixteen great-grandchildren: Two very special friends Edward and Brenda Register
He was preceded in death by his wife Willie Geraldine Hawkins, and his daughter Cynthia Grace Harvell
