John Daniel Barrett, Jr. 71 of Tallahassee, passed away on Friday, October 7, 2011 at Big Bend Hospice House in Tallahassee, FL..

Mr. Barrett was born on February 28, 1940 in Grady County, GA. The son of the late John Daniel Barrett, Sr and Elizabeth Johnson Barrett. He was a U.S. Air Force Vietnam veteran. John was very proud of the fact that he was a dual citizen of Canada and United States.
He is survived by his daughter Margaret (Pegi) Barrett Monier (Michael); grandson Harrison Monier; a son Chris Barrett (Corrine) all of Toronto Canada. Brothers Billy Barrett (Laverne) of Havana, FL. and Russell Barrett (Mary) of Tallahassee, FL. several nieces and nephews and numerous friends in Toronto and Tallahassee.
The family would like to say a special "Thank You" to the staff of Big Bend Hospice House, for the care and kindness shown to our family during this very difficult time.
