Jimmy Gibbs

Jimmy Gibbs 81, of Lake Tallavana, FL passed away Wednesday, November 4, 2015 at his daughters home in Tallahassee.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 8, 2015 at Faith Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gordon Greene officiating. Interment will follow at Woodland Cemetery in Havana, with military honors.

Mr. Gibbs was born October 24, 1934 in Madison County, FL. The son of the late Buck C. Gibbs and the late Ruth Sparks Gibbs. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church, where he served as a Deacon for many years. He was a strong faithful servant of his Lord. He would witness to anyone, at any opportunity he was given. He was retired from the railroad after more than 42 years. He was a real family man, who loved his wife and family.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years Margaret Gibbs of Havana; his son Randy Gibbs (Cindi) of Tallahassee; three daughters Rhonda Maxwell (Roger) of Tallahassee; Sherree Blount (Jim) of Tallahassee; and Sheila Pittard (Craig) of Pensacola. Brothers and sisters Milburn "Bud" Gibbs; Margaret Deloach; Ander Gibbs (Sandy); Wayne Gibbs (Linda) and Brenda Cory. Seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
