James Monroe Harris, 68, passed away on Thursday, July 9, 2015 in Tampa, FL..
The graveside funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday July 18, 2015 at Cypress Community Cemetery in Grand Ridge, FL. Faith Funeral Home in Havana is in charge of arrangements (850-539-4300 or www.faithfuneralhome.com)
James was born on August 6, 1946 in Stamford CT. He was raised in Marianna, FL.. He was a resident in Panama City Beach, and formerly in Tallahassee. He graduated from Marianna High School, Chipola Junior College, attended FSU and graduated from Valdosta State College in 1970 with a BS degree in Accounting. He had a long career with the State of Florida from 1971 until his retirement.
He is survived by his mother, Audrey Harris and sister Kimberly Harris of Stamford, Ct. He is also survived by his twin sons, Justin Harris ( Lori), step granddaughters, Sarah Grace and Jaclyn Summers, of Tallahassee, FL. and son Clinton Harris ( Melissa) of Havana, FL.
He is preceded in death by his father, Monroe Harris, and his dearly beloved uncle, Woodrow Harris.
