Biography

James Ronald Edge, 63 of Havana, FL, passed away on Thursday, April 10, 2014 at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital.

The funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 13, 2014 at Thomas Memorial Baptist Church in Quincy, FL. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery. His family will receive friends from 6 till 8:00 p.m on Saturday, April 12, 2014 at Faith Funeral Home in Havana. Memorial contribution may be made to Thomas Memorial Baptist Church 937 W. Ron was born on August 16, 1950 in Orlando, FL. The son of the late Roy J. Edge and the late Christine Porter Edge. Ron was a faithful member of Thomas Memorial Baptist Church. (He loved his church family) He taught Sunday School for many years. He was a man of many talents, He loved cooking and sharing his food with his friends and family, he was also a florist for many years. He was once a manager of the year at the Arby's Restaurant he managed.He had retired from the U.S. Postal Service were he was a mail carrier. Most of all he loved his Lord, wife, children and church.

He is survived by his wife Doris Edge of Havana; his sons Doug Edge of Havana and Emory Singletary (wife Susie) of Panama City; daughters Annette Turner (husband Jerry) of Fitzgerald, GA and Donna Piermatteo (husband Mike) of Riverview, FL; Two brothers Donnie Edge (wife Shirley) of St. Cloud, FL and Jay Edge (wife Kim) of Logansville, GA; his sister Lisa Arenas (husband Bonn) of Calhoun, FL; Eight grandchildren Royce, Peyton, Tori, Lea, Ryan, Kelli, Amanda and Sarah; three great grandchildren Noah, Levi and Conner.
