Herman Baxley McDuffie

Herman Baxley McDuffie , 79, formerly of Havana, Florida, died Monday, May 21, 2018, at the Miller County Nursing Home. Mr. McDuffie was born in Calhoun County on December 6, 1938 to the late Rev. W. F. McDuffie and the late Grace Brown McDuffie. He attended school at Blakely Union High School where he excelled in sports and music.

Mr. McDuffie worked in the security industry for many years in Virginia, Tennessee, and Florida until his retirement due to medical issues.

Mr. McDuffie is survived by one sister Beverly Whitaker (Ronald) of Colquitt, Georgia, a step- granddaughter Alisha Dillon (Anthony) of Havana, Florida, three step great grandchildren Mathew, Violet and Austin Dillon of Havana, Florida, two nephews Randy Whitaker (Kim) of Carrollton, Georgia, Eddie Whitaker (Christy), Colquitt, Georgia and several great nephews and nieces.

Mr. McDuffie was preceded in death by his wife Ethel Faye Revels McDuffie, father Rev. W. F. McDuffie, mother Grace Brown McDuffie, and daughter Lisa Robins.

A small memorial celebration will be held at New Hope Family Worship Center at 11 am on June 9, 2018 in Donalsonville, GA.
