Herman Ronald Lowe, 74, of Havana, went to be with the Lord on Monday, June 15, 2009, at his home, surrounded by his family.
His funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, June 18, 2009, at Concord Victory Assembly of God, with a private family burial at Hinson Cemetery. His family will receive friends Wednesday from 6 p.m. till 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Faith Funeral Home in Havana is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Lowe was born in Grady County Georgia on August 27, 1934. The son of Emory and Annie Lee Lowe. He enlisted in the US Navy at the age of seventeen. Mr. Lowe served on the USS Hornet and was a part of the Korean War. Mr. Lowe was a true Southern Gentleman. He was known all over these parts for his love of his farm. He retired from Florida State University after thirty-two years of service.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years Nancy Lowe of Havana; a son, Ronnie Lowe, Jr. of Havana; two daughters, Cindy Finuff (and husband Carlton) of Havana, and Teresa Lowe(and friend Tony Bajoczky) of Havana. Six grandchildren: Elizabeth Register (and husband Brian); Ronnie Lowe III; Abby Jones (and husband John); Patrina Yarborugh (and husband Chad); Christina Quick (and husband Dan); and Carlton "Bo" Finuff (and wife Dana). Seven great-grandchildren: Shelby Finuff; Cody Quick; Brian Small; Elby Jones; Laura Lee Jones; Shyane Yarborugh; and Anna Lowe. A host of nieces and nephews. And his best buddy Diva.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Nona Page.
