Grace Colvin Bell, 71 of Concord died Wednesday, February 4, 2009 at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital. Funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 7, 2009 at Faith Funeral Home Chapel with the internment at Concord Cemetery. Pastor Gordon Adank will be officating the service. Mrs. Grace was a native of Havana. She was born March 1, 1937. She married Mr. Durward Bell on January 8, 1955 in Bainbridge, Ga. She owned and operated a beauty shop in Concord for many years. She was a member of Concordia Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years Durward E. Bell of Concord; her mother Mrs. Sallie Colvin of Havana; her son Calvin Bell of Concord; and her daughter Carol E. Bell of Concord.
Three brothers: Lamar Colvin of Havana; Leroy Colvin of Tallahassee; and Sterling Colvin of St. Pete. One sister Barbra "Bobbie" Johnson of Helena, Al. Two grand-daughters: Danielle Bell of Cairo, Ga, and Elizabeth Bell of Havana. One great grandson Charles James Curby and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her father Charles David Colvin, Sr. and her brother David Colvin, Jr.
