Freddie Rudd, 78, of Concord, FL, passed away Wednesday, August 12, 2015 at Big Bend Hospice House.
The funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, August 17, 2015 at Faith Funeral Home Chapel with Rev, Wendell Rudd officiating the service. Mr. Rudd was born on December 30, 1936 in Quincy, FL, the son of the late Oscar J. Rudd and the late Nellie Tharpe Rudd. Mr Rudd was a lifetime resident of Gasdsden County. He loved to fish, especially on the river. He also enjoyed Lake Talquin and Lake Jackson fishing too.
He is survived by his wife Laverne Walsh Rudd of Concord; his two daughters Linda R. Lewis (husband Robert) of Tallahassee, and Sherry A Steele (husband Hirdes) of Concord. His sister Frances Troupe of Quincy; Three granddaughters Janice; Marissa; and Christina. Three great-grandchildren Deion; Kaiden; and KiLynn.
Mr. Rudd was preceded in death by his four brothers Virgil, Leonard, E.J. and Raymond Rudd; two sisters Eva May Bass and Inez Lambert.
