Francis Carl "Buddy" Lester

Francis Carl "Buddy" Lester, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on December 21, 2024, in Havana, Florida. Born on June 15, 1950, in Wewahitchka, Florida, Buddy loved his family and the outdoors.

A talented exterior finisher in commercial construction, Buddy was revered for his skill and dedication to his craft. His career showcased not just his work ethic but also his attention to detail. Outside of his profession, Buddy was an avid hunter and fisherman. These passions allowed him to connect deeply with nature and instilled in him a sense of freedom that he cherished throughout his life.

Buddy proudly served in the United States Air Force, a testament to his character and dedication to his country. His life was marked by a lasting legacy of service and pride.

He loved nothing more than spending time with his family, finding joy in the simple moments shared with his loved ones. He is survived by his beloved wife, Debi Lester; his two daughters, Jennifer Dangelo and Sharon Dennard; and his four grandsons, Lucas, Coy, Tucker, and Cooper.

Buddy was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Willa Lester, both of Wewahitchka, Florida. Their memories will forever remain a part of the fabric of his life and the hearts of his family.

In a life well-lived, Buddy found fulfillment in his passions for hunting, fishing, and spending quality time with his family, right up to the very end. He will be remembered not only for his skills and accomplishments but also for the love and laughter he shared with everyone around him. His presence will be greatly missed, yet his spirit will live on in the lessons he imparted and the love he fostered.
