Evelyn L. Schleich was born in Columbus, Ohio and was preceded in death by her parents, Kenna and Goldie Casto, brother, Warren (wife Doratha) and husband, Donald. She was very creative and enjoyed sewing, needlecraft and ceramics. She loved being with her family, hats, jewelry, shopping and Ohio State Buckeyes. Evelyn was a loving mother and wife. Before becoming a stay-at-home mom, she worked, as a secretary, for her father’s furnace company and, while living in New York, worked for the French fabric design house, Bianchini, Ferier, on 5th Ave. On December 18, 1937 she married Donald V. Schleich.
Evelyn is survived by daughters: Sharon Knepper (husband Terry) and Sandra Ferrell (husband Tom); Granddaughters: Jennifer Drumheller (husband Michael), Heather Furbee (husband Travis), and Holly Conger; Great Grand-daughters: Kelsey Gibson (husband Bill), Kaitlin Rasmussen (fiancé Brennan Garcia), Taylor Furbee, Maci Furbee, Addison Conger and Hannah Conger; Great Great Granddaughter: Harper Evelyn Gibson; Nephews: Robert Casto (wife Beverly) and Stephen Casto (wife Rita).
