Biography

Eugene " T.G." Moore, 76 of Havana, FL. passed away peacefully Thursday, January 9, 2014 at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital.

The funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 13, 2014 at Havana First Baptist Church with Dr. Eric Erskine officiating, and will conclude at the church. Private family interment at Woodland Cemetery in Havana.

Mr. Moore was born on April 14, 1937 in Havana, the son of the late Homer A. Moore and late Gordie Poppell Moore. He graduated from Havana High School in 1955, while in school he was a member of the basketball team and the baseball team. Mr. Moore retired from the State of Florida Comptrollers Office. He was a long time member of Havana First Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, cooking-out and other family activities.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years Martha Ann Moore of Havana; one son Jeffery E. Moore (and wife Kathy); two grandchildren Katherine McElvy Moore and Jeffery Matthew Moore all of Havana; His brother Ernest W. Moore (and wife Rigmor) of Havana. His sister Elsie L. Timmons (and husband Bratley) of Gretna. A niece Mary Alice Tiller (Mike) of Quincy; nephews Samuel B. Timmons (Stacy) of Gretna and Brian E. Timmons (Erin) of Bainbridge.

He was preceded in death by parents and his brothers Emory A. Moore, and Earl L. Moore.
