Biography
Essie W. Johnson, 92, of Havana passed away Saturday, May 23, 2009 at her home in Havana. Her Graveside Funeral Service will be 11:00 am Wednesday May 27, 2009 at Woodland Cemetery, Havana Florida, with Pastor Bill Bess officating. Her family will receive friends Tuesday, from 6 pm till 8:00 pm at the home of Don and Shirley Vickers, 102 First Street SE, in Havana. Memorial contributions may be made to Big Bend Hospice, 1723 Mahan Center Blvd., Tallahassee, FL. 32308. Mrs Johnson was a lifetime resident of Havana. She was most happy when her family was by her side. The love she had for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren was what she treasured most in her life.
She is survived by her daughter Shirley Vickers (and husband Don) of Havana and two sons Richard Johnson (and wife Lorraine) of Pigeon Forge, TN; and Kenny Johnson (and wife Hyunah) of Jacksonville, FL; nine grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband K. E. Johnson.
