Biography
Edward Ptachick, 91, passed away on October 30, 2013 in Quincy, FL. He was born March 15, 1922 in Albany, New York The son of Frances and John Ptachick.
Ed was the second child of six children: Albina, Robert, John, Lillian and Frank (deceased). Ed was in the Army in WWII and was in 5 campaigns. He was an A/C- Refrigeration mechanic by trade.
He and his wife, Mary Checkanovage (deceased), moved to Florida in 1960 where they raised their two boys, Edward and Ronald Ptachick. Ed loved to walk the beach and work his bee hives.
He kept himself busy with his six grandchildren, Celina, Casey, Carrie, Chad, Cody and Chet, and his great granddaughters, Alyssa and Cayleigh.
Memorial services will be held Saturday Nov 9, 2013.
