Havana- Earnest Lambert, 88 of Havana passed away Wednesday, June 9, 2010 at his son's home in Tallahassee. His funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 13, 2010 at Faith Funeral Home Chapel in Havana (850.539.4300 or www.faithfuneralhome.com). Interment will follow at Woodland Cemetery. His family will receive friends from 6 to 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 12, 2010 at the funeral home.
Mr Lambert was born October 25, 1921 in Grady County GA. He was the son of the late Ralph and Minie Lee Lambert. He was an automotive mechanic for many years. He was a U.S. Army Veteran. He was a skilled and talented fisherman, always catching the most fish.
Mr. Lambert is survived by his son Billy Lambert; a daughter Alice Alday both of Tallahassee; two sisters: Erma Caroll of MacClenny and Myrtice Tilley of Tallahassee; two son-in-laws, William Colvin of Havana and Melvin Alday of Chiefland; eight grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years Addie Merl Lambert, and his daughter Grace Colvin.
