Dorothy Marie Gillan 83, of Havana, FL. passed away Sunday, January 15, 2012 at her residence.

The funeral mass will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 19, 2012 at St. Thomas The Apostle Church in Quincy, Florida with Father Nicholas Schumm officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday, January 18, 2012 from 6 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Gillan was born November 4, 1928 in Philadelphia, PA. The daughter of the late Earnest and Christine Vece. Mrs. Gillan has lived in Havana for the past 12 years, before living in Tampa for 35 years. She was well known for her giving spirit, to her family and strangers, she was a gifted singer, and loved music. Most of all, she loved and adored her grandson Michael, They had a very special bond.

Survivors include her husband of 61 years John Gillan of Havana, a son John J. Gillan (and wife Theresa ) Davie, FL. and her daughter Judy Gillan of Havana. one grandson Michael Lucien Gillan of Davie, FL.
