Donald Cable

Donald Wesley Cable, 89 of Tallahassee, FL. passed away Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at his residence.

The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, September 29, 2014 at Northwoods Baptist Church (with his son) Pastor Don Cable officiating the service. Interment will follow at Meadowwood Cemetery in Tallahassee. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Northwoods Baptist Church 3762 Capital Circle NW Tallahassee Florida 32303

Mr. Cable was born November 23, 1924 in Akron, OH, The son of the late Eugene Cable and the late Gladys Eastman Cable. He was Navy Veteran serving in WWII on D. Day. He later attended University of Akron achieving his Master Degree in Education. He was a teacher, coach and a principal. He loved sports (of any kind) He was a great father, he loved being with his sons and grandchildren.

His survivors include his wife of 68 years Joan E. Cable of Tallahassee. His two sons, Randy G. Cable (wife Kay) and Donald Cable (wife Laura) all of Tallahassee. Seven grandchildren Steffany Lendon; Tonja Francis; Kasey Emerson; Cari Miller; Jessica Poppell; Joshua Cable, and Melinda Cable. nine great-grandchildren. and one brother Raymond Cable.

He is preceded in death by his sister Marilyn Wallace
