Havana- David Gordon Waters, 57 died Friday March 17, 2006, suddenly at his home. David is survived by wife of 35 years Kathleen Waters. A Celebration of his life will be at 6 p.m. EST Monday at his home 263 Collins Road I. The family will receive friends from 4 till 6 p.m. before the service. He was born August 5, 1948 to his parents Harry and Josephine Waters. David attended Terry Parker High School and graduated from University of South Florida. His love for horticulture led him back to the family's plant and nursery business in Jacksonville for many years. Until he moved his family to Havana. He began an exemplary rural postal carrier for the US Postal Service where he worked until his death.
Other survivor include two sons Ian Waters presently serving in the US Coast Guard in Hawaii and James Waters a student at Florida State University, of Havana. His mother Josephine of Jacksonville two sisters Cindy Waters of Quincy and Harriet Shull of Jacksonville. And a brother Joey Waters of Orlando. and many relatives, cherished neighbors . He was preceded in death by his father Harry and brother Tony Waters.
David will be remembered for his many acts of kindness, love of plants special sense of humor. His passion for music and vast knowledge of even the most trivial information.
