Biography
Dan A. Hinson died, Monday February 2, 2015 at Hospice House in Tallahassee, FL. He was a retired farmer. He grew shade tobacco, pole beans, and tomatoes for market. Being an avid gardener, he grew many other fruits and vegetable for family and friends. He also loved quail hunting and fishing for river bream.
The private family service will be at 11:00 on Saturday, February 14th at Vickers Cemetery in Havana, FL. Scott Whitehead of Faith Funeral Home in Havana will be presiding over the service.
Mr. Hinson was born April 12, 1925 in Concord, FL and was a life long member of Concordia Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, by his son Steve, his brothers Bart and Laurence, his sister Janie and his brother-in-law Olin Sadler.
Survivors include daughters Mary Faircloth and Debby Boutin (husband Rick), his son John Hinson (wife Adrienne); his grandchildren Matthew Hinson (wife Kara), Kathryn Haass (husband Patrick), Elizabeth Hinson (fiance' Mike Cocchi), Neal Faircloth (wife Heather), William Boutin, Robert Boutin, Brock Hinson; his great grandchildren Hailey & Lena Faircloth; two sister-in-laws Pauline Hinson and Tina Hinson; and many nieces and nephews.
