Cynthia Anne Troyan Reichert of Tallahassee, Florida, age 64, passed away on Monday,
December 21, 2020 after losing her battle with a brief, but aggressive disease. She was
surrounded by her loving family as she drew her last breath.
Cynthia was born in Columbus, Ohio on November 30, 1956. She later moved with her family to
Sarasota, Florida where she graduated from Riverview High School. After receiving her
Associate of Arts degree from Manatee Junior College, she left for Tallahassee to continue her
studies in Fashion Merchandising at Florida State University, eventually earning her Bachelor’s
degree. It is at FSU where she met the love of her life which began a 42-year journey that
resulted in almost 40 years of marriage, three children, and one grandchild.
Cynthia dedicated her life to raising her children while still working as a sales representative and
then merchandiser. She was very talented and learned and mastered many crafts over the
years. She became so good at baking and decorating cakes that while taking a Wilton Cake
Decorating class, she ended up as the teacher. Many of her friends, family, and others took
advantage of her talent and hired her to bake their wedding and other specialty cakes.
She loved her family more than anything in the world and would do anything to make them
happy. She will be missed by many.
Cynthia was preceded in death by her mother, Janet Troyan. She is survived by her loving
husband, Mark; her three children Joshua and his wife Kathy, Rhianna and her husband Joshua,
and Cassidy; her father James Troyan; sisters Dr. Susan Troyan and Mary Ritacco; and brother
Mark Troyan; and her only grandchild Kendall Scout, daughter of Josh and Kathy.
In lieu of a funeral, a Celebration of Life event will be held at a later date. Donations in her
name can be made to the Tallahassee Animal Shelter.
