Curtis "Ray" Vickers, 57 passed away peacefully Friday, November 12, 2010 in his sleep at his sister's home in Havana. He had been under the care of Covenant Hospice since May.
His memorial service will be held at 7:00 pm on Wednesday, November 17, 2010 at Faith Funeral Home Chapel in Havana, Fl. ( 850.539.4300 or www.faithfuneralhome.com ). Memorials contributions may be made to Covenant Hospice, 1545 Raymond Diehl Road Suite 102, Tallahassee, Florida 32308
Ray was born June 25, 1953 in Quincy, Fl. And grew up in Concord, Fl. He served in the U.S. Navy on a nuclear submarine during the early 70's. Most people will remember him as an excellent carpenter.
He is survived by his brothers, David L. Vickers ( Bertha) and Emory A. Vickers ( Susie ) of Havana, Fl. And his sisters, Gloria V. Fountain ( Jack) of Live Oak, Fl. And Jeanie ( Pat) Dawkins of Havana, Fl.
He was preceded in death by his father, Council Vickers, and his mother, Elsie Walsh Vickers
