Connie Barrett

Alta Connie Barrett, 70 of Havana, FL passed away on Friday, September 15, 2017 at Margaret Z. Dozier Hospice House.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at Faith Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Eric Erskine officiating the service. The family will receive friends from 9:00 until 11:00 am. that morning.

Connie was born December 30, 1946. The oldest daughter of the late Clyde M. Shores and the late Florie Vickers Shores, she was a lifelong resident of Havana and a member of First Baptist Church of Havana. She retired from Tallahassee Memorial Hospital, and the worked for several years at Archbold Hospital in Thomasville before finally retiring to take on her most important and rewarding job as Granny.

She is survived by her two sons Shawn (wife Jennifer) and Chad, her grandchildren whom she loved more than anything, Riley Alair and Finley Robert, she is also survived by her sisters Kay Ware (husband Al) and Vickie Laing (husband David) and host of nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and her dear friends.

Connie was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years Robert Lee Barrett, and parents Clyde M. and Florie Vickers Shores.
