Clyde Monroe Shores, 88 of Havana, FL, passed away Saturday, October 29, 2011 at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital.
The graveside funeral service (with military honors ) will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 1, 2011 at Concord Cemetery with David Laing officiating. Mr. Shores was born February 7, 1923 in Grady County, GA, the son of late Marvin Shores and late Lotchie Dickson Shores. He was a U.S. Army veteran. He was a over the road truck driver. He enjoyed fishing (the river) and gardening.
Survivors include his wife of 65 years Florie Vickers Shores of Havana; Three daughters Connie Barrett of Havana, Clide Kay Ware (Alan) of Havana and Vickie Laing (David) of Tallahassee. Three sisters Geraldine Rowe of Buford, SC, Bobbie Zaleshi (Chuck) of Erie PA. and Frances Fulgham (Hubert) of Thomasville, GA; and one brother Anderson Shores (Alma) of Thomasville, GA. Six grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.
He is preceded in death by his parents, a brother Charles Shore and a sister Doris Shores Story.
