Casey Lynn Whitfield

Casey Lynn Whitfield, 60, of Tallahassee, Florida, gained his wings on June 20, 2024, after battling cancer since 2012 without ever complaining. Born on December 30, 1963, he was a loving husband, father, brother, and friend. 

He leaves behind his loving wife, Theresa; his sons, Austin (Dee), Lucas, Chad; his son and best friend, Whitley (Susan); his daughters, Angela (Allen), Sasha, Anna (Nathan); grandchildren, Isaiah, Ivory, Rylie, Abby, Scarlett, Anna’s children, Payton and Austin’s new arrival in August.

He also leaves behind his sisters, Sherri Hicks and Kimberly Conner (Mike); and his brother, Tim Whitfield (Cindy); nieces; Ashley, Katie, Amber and Autumn and his longtime friend, David Yates.

Casey now joins his parents, CJ and Edith Whitfield, who preceded him in death.

Casey enjoyed spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren as well as his family. He spent years working at Crowder Excavating, City of Tallahassee, Stege Contractors and many others. He never met a stranger, always smiling and had a heart of gold no one could ever forget. He was very knowledgeable and was willing to teach anyone that wanted to learn. His presence brought comfort and joy to those around him. He had a sense of humor that no one will ever forget, and he kept it up to the very end. He will be remembered for his generous spirit and unwavering dedication to his family and friends. 

The family will receive friends and relatives for a celebration of life at Faith Funeral Home in Havana, Florida. Saturday, June 29, 2024. The visitation will be held at 2:00 in the afternoon followed by the memorial service at 3:00 o'clock in the afternoon. Family request, please attend the service in causal dress.
