Carolyn Jeanette Rutten

Carolyn Jeanette Rutten of Havana, passed away on Thursday, June 22, 2023 surrounded by her family at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital.

The Memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, June 26, 2023 at Faith Funeral Home Chapel in Havana. Family will receive friends from 1:30 PM until service time.

Mrs. Rutten was best known as Mama Carolyn. She was a mother to many. She loved her family beyond measure. She and her late husband, Louis D. Rutten owned and operated Rutten Dusting Service (Crop dusting). where she was the bookkeeper and manager. In 1972 she started her long and successful career in Real Estate. She sold real estate for Wise Realty for many years, later selling for Landcorp in Havana. She was an avid reader, finishing most novels in one day. She was also well known for her excellent cooking skills.

She is survived by five children: Charlotte Dodson (Randall), Phil Rutten (Mary), Danny Rutten (Jeannie), Kenny Rutten (Julanne) and Vince Rutten ( Brenda). eight grandchildren: Stephanie Dodson, Philip Rutten (Crystal), Brandy Davis (Ashton), Brad Rutten, Ryan Rutten, Danielle Dewrell (Josh), Sara Rutten (Ryan O’Reilly) and Sean Rutten. four great-grandchildren, a brother Larry Sadler (Terri),  four sisters Jean Willis, Brenda Hill (Jim), Sherry Baxley and Rita Harvell.
