Carl Getzen Weatherford

Carl Getzen Weatherford, 93 a dedicated craftsman and family man, passed away on February 4, 2025, in Tallahassee, Florida. Born on November 26, 1931, in Newberry, Florida, Carl lived a life characterized by his commitment to his work and the deep bonds with his loved ones.

As a general contractor, Carl showcased his skills as a welder, carpenter, and electrician. He took great pride in working with his hands, embodying the spirit of craftsmanship through every project he undertook. Much of his life was spent in the Ocala, Florida area, where he contributed significantly to the community through his expertise and dedication to his trade. Carl was a very well known and respected horse trainer. He enjoyed working with horses and had several contenders over his career.

In addition to his professional accomplishments, Carl was a devoted husband to his late wife, Elsie Mae Weatherford, who passed away in 2022. Together, they enjoyed spending time together creating lasting memories that will be cherished by their family for generations.

Carl's life was a testament to hard work, devotion work and family. His legacy will continue to live on through the many lives he touched throughout his journey. He will be remembered fondly by all who knew him and deeply missed by those who had the privilege of being part of his life.
