Brinson Wilford

Biography

Brinson Wilford, 81, of Havana passed away on December 12, 2014. Born in Monticello, FL on August 2, 1933 to the late John and Annie May Lee Wilford. He served four years in the Navy from 1951-55. He retired from Liberty National Life Insurance Co. Member of Chapel Hill Baptist Church in Tallahassee FL. A late in life joy for him was coaching girl's softball and later becoming the Athletic Director at Tallavana Christian School.
He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Peggy Wilford, children, Debra (Bob) Boucher of Tallahassee, FL, Dianne (Phillip) Herring of Cottonwood, AL, and Johnny (Dani) Wilford of Panama City, Panama. Grandchildren: Carey Boucher, Katie (Jesse) Goram, Brent (Joy) Herring, Marcie (Haston) Jenkins, and Shane Wilford. Great Grandchildren: Roslyn and Bobbi Kate Goram, Cy Brinson Irving, Eli Herring, Brooke Hernandez, Paxton and Meredith Jenkins, and Ella Wilford. Sister-in-laws, Merie McLain and Gail (Mike)Tatum.

He is preceded in death by his brother John Wilford, Jr, sister Mazel Kinsey and great grandson Nicholas Irving.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held December 14, 2014 at 3:00pm (EST) at Faith Funeral Home Chapel in Havana, the visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service at 2:00pm.( EST) Faith Funeral Home is located at 6972 FL/GA Highway, Havana Florida (850.539.4300 or www.faithfuneralhome.com).
