Beau Matthew Fortune, 45, passed away on February 8, 2025, at the First Commerce Center for Compassionate Care in Tallahassee, Florida, surrounded by his family. He was born on May 16, 1979, in Tallahassee, Florida, where he spent his life as a lifelong resident of the area, including Woodville and Monticello.
Beau was known for his remarkable career in maintenance within apartment complexes, where his talent for fixing almost anything.
Beau's personality shone brightly through his relationships; he was well-liked and loved by many. His proudest accomplishments included the cherished moments spent with family and friends. He found great joy in playing board games and video games with his nieces and nephews, creating lasting memories that will be treasured by those who knew him. He also enjoyed all types of music and shared a profound love for his dogs, a beagle named Friday and an adopted jack russell named Chloe.
Beau is survived by his mother, Linda C. Fortune; his father, Anthony Wayne Fortune; and his fiancée, Nakia Smith. A brother Travis C. Fortune and a sister Brandy N. Fortune. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, J.C. and Helen Fortune, as well as Virgil "Red" and Burneice Hemanes.
A funeral service will be held at 11 O'clock in the morning, Tuesday, February 11, 2025, at Faith Funeral Home and Cremation in Havana, Florida.
