Biography
Barbara Gayle Jacob 56, of Whigham, Ga., died February 3, 2009 at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital. Her family is planning a private memorial service for a later date.
Barbara was born Auguust 20, 1952 in New Orleans, La. She was a U S Army veteran. She had been employed with Bainbridge Public Safety for many years. Later she was a dispatcher with Grady County EMC for seven years until her early retirement.
She is survived by her sister Betth Gardner of Climax, Ga. Two nieces Sabrina Phillips of Columbus, Ga. and Chresta Kirksey of Climax, Ga. Two aunts Barbara Chapman and Kay Gorman, and her uncle Max Chapman all of Donalsonville, Ga., and many great nieces, nephews and cousins.
She is preceded in death by her father Earnest Jacob, and her mother Mary Jacob: one brother William "Billy" Jacob. Memorial donations may be made to Bainbridge-Decatur County Humane Society, P.O.
