Annette Barber, 79 of Concord, passed away Monday, Nov. 30, 2009 at Big Bend Hospice House in Tallahassee. The funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, Dec. 3, 2009, at Concordia Baptist Church in Concord. Pastor Gordon Adank will be officiating. Internment will follow at Concord Cemetery with her grandsons serving as pallbearers. Mrs. Barber's family will receive friends Wednesday, Dec. 2, 2009 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., at Faith Funeral Home in Havana. Mrs. Barber was born July 18, 1930, in Bainbridge, Ga. She was a faithful member of Concorida Baptist Church. She was very active in the Concord community. She was involved with Concord Volunteer Fire Department and the annual Fish Fry. She was a Poll Worker at Precinct 3 (Concord) for many years. Most of all, she loved spending time with her her family.
She is survived by her four sons: Ronal W. Barber (wife Diann) of Jasonville, IN.; Timothy "Tim" Barber (and wife Shirley) of Havana; Edward "Eddie" Barber (and wife Cassie) of Tallahassee; and Samuel "Sammy" Barber (and wife Debbie) of Havana, three daughters: Mary Dutton (and husband Gene) of Tallahassee; Gail Finley (and husband Jeff) of Medart; and Lisa Weaver (and husband Clayton) of Havana, one sister Ada Mae O'Dell of Marianna, FL., 24 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
