Anna Jacquelyn "Jackie" Brooks Baker, 84, of Havana, Florida passed away Friday, March 13, 2020 at home surrounded by her family.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, March 18, 2020, from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. in the chapel of Faith Funeral Home. The funeral service will be private followed by a private family burial.
Jackie loved gardening, she was best known for her love of flowers. She took joy and pleasure from her yard, her flowers, her dogs Bambi, Bunnie, Tinker, and Belle. Especially she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Her grandson’s will be pallbearers; Davy Baker, Steve Stephens, Jeffery Stephens, Zach Robbins, Daniel Baker, and Nolan Baker.
Born November 16, 1935 in Turner County, Georgia, Mrs. Baker was the daughter of the late John A. Brooks and Anna Rycroft and her step father James Denby. She also was preceded in death by a grandson, Michael Lee Baker, two brothers; Everett Brooks and Kermit Brooks. She retired from Tallahassee Ford.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 68 years, David Ras Baker. Mrs. Baker is also survived by five sons; Kenny Baker (Elsie) of Tallahassee, Florida, Mike Baker (Trish) of Tallahassee, Florida, Edmond Baker (Kathy) of Crawfordville, Florida, Tim Baker and Alex Baker, five daughters; Charlotte Stephens, Michele Davis (Leland), Barbara Vaughan (Broderick), Susan Baker Connell and Becky Stephens, one sister; Mary Allen (Carlton) of Tallahassee, Florida, 23 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, and half brother Alton Brooks of Jacksonville, Florida.
